Sweetree's Hakarimata honey is collected from the Hakarimata Range which forms part of the western rampart of the Waikato Basin. Nestled in the foothills, our bees feast themselves on the copious sources of nectar from native flowers above and pasture flowers below.

Here is our tasting notes from this seasons Hakarimata Honey:

Taste: Think dried prunes, ripe banana, this honey as a deep dark caramel taste leading into butterscotch.
Colour: Mid caramel
Texture: Thick and smooth
Smell: Mild wax aroma

This honey won Silver in 2017, Bronze in 2014, Gold in 2013 and Silver in 2012 in the 'Beekeepers Special Reserve' honey competition with the National Beekeepers Association Honey Show.
